Modernization of P-Series Radars

P 18 UPGRADE
After modernization of the existing P 18 radar, it will significantly expand the technical capabilities of the existing P-18 radar, extend the service life by 10-15 years, increase reliability up to 2000-5000 MTBF, allow the radar to operate in conditions of active and passive jamming by the enemy, and bring radar stations to a new level, become a modern digital radars, with the ability to process radar images and transfer data to consumers in automatic mode.
- After the upgrade work the system in conditions of the use of active and passive interference by the enemy
- The ability to detect airborne small-sized targets such as UAVs;
- Higher reliability and maintainability.
- Full automation of the process of detection, processing and transmission of radar information
- Continuous monitoring of radar performance and modular construction of the hardware.
- The ability to work in conditions of the enemy's use of anti-radar missiles;
- Increased mobility due to the use of semi-automatic deployment and folding of the AMU antenna.
The upgrade includes not only the modernization of the equipment cabin (complete replacement of old outdated equipment using lamps with modern ones, using a solid-state transmitter, software and modular construction), but also a complete replacement of power supply units, improvement of the AMU ( replacement of the gearbox, current collectors, replacement of the electric machine amplifier with a frequency converter for controlling the rotation of the antenna, etc.), replacement of the HGS and air conditioning units.
The warranty will be for 24 months and a AMC for 5 years. The AMC will be conducted by the Indian Partner who would have the capabilities for local manufacturing of some of the components. The Indian partner will also produce most of the work requiring mechanical processing such as :
- Product body
- Antenna stand
- Cable facilities
- Remote control unit
- Autonomous power sources (batteries) and Gen sets
All control and display facilities.
